I believe many of us agree that Moonshot got more and more popular lately because they have Lisa of Blackpink as their brand’s face, right? And I will not lie that Lisa is the biggest reason why I purchased this cushion. Aside from that, a pretty packaging, of couse, is another thing that had me spent my money for this brand.
However, it’s interesting to try this cushion as it was one of the most hype products among beauty influencers lately. Apart from the brand ambassador and the packaging, I was curious why this cushion being so popular. Is the quality that good? Or is it just because of Lisa on its commercial? Well, let’s see.

PACKAGING
Compared with the other Moonshot cushions, in my opinion, this Micro Correcfit Cushion has the prettiest case. The previous cushions are a little bit boring for me. But this one comes in purplish galaxy and starry theme which looks so adorable and elegant. The pink-purple gradation is very pretty.
Like many other cushions, it is housed in an outer box but it doesn’t include any refill. So, yeah, I think it is a bit pricey, lol. Having a same theme with the cushion case, the box comes in galaxy background as well. And thanks to Moonshot, they provide English description on the box.
The puff itself is smooth and flexible, but not that bouncy for my liking. It also has a unique shape. They made it in pointy design on one side so it will help us to apply the foundation on narrow areas, like our inner corner of eyes and nose. And yess, it really works.
Other special thing from this cushion case is they added 3 hooks on the inner container of the cushion, thus it helps the lid to close tightly. I do appreciate this idea because it will secure the foundation inside so it won’t dry easily. Just make sure to close the inner lid and hear the “tick” sound and everything is safe.
TEXTURE & SCENT
It has creamy lightweight texture and blends very easy on my skin. The puff, as I said, works very well to spread and blend the foundie itself evenly. Ah, once more, the puff doesn’t absorb too much product, so it is easy to manage how much the product we want to apply on. I usually dab the cushion twice for my entire face (one thin layer application).
I did not sniff any annoying fragrance from this product. I found “fragrance (parfum)” on its ingredients list but the fact is this product is almost odorless. I am not sure what kind of fragrance they used, hehe. But it is better than any complexion product with very strong fragrance.
COLORS
The shade I purchased is 301 – Honey and this is actually a bit darker for my skin tone. I’d better go to the second shade. Thankfully, the cushion doesn’t oxidize so it doesn’t look dull on my face. It is just like my skin without any brightening filter. Thus I could conclude that this brand have a normal shade options (not too bright) hence their shades are pretty friendly for non-Korean skin tones.
RESULT
The result of Moonshot Micro Correcfit Cushion is amazing! I am so amazed with this cushion. Honestly, I didn’t expect too much from it since I think it’s just because of Lisa there that made this cushion got more attention. But I was totally wrong.
The cushion itself is AWESOME!
Once I tapped the product onto my face, exactly on my cheek where I have redness and blemishes, I definitely knew it would be my favorite cushion. This cushion is sooo lightweight and provides beautiful skin-like result. On the other side, the coverage is medium to high and, yes, it is buildable.
I do not like applying cushion or foundation more than 2 layers because most of them would be cakey and feel heavy on my face. But not for this product. I put one layer firstly and was satisfied with the result. It gave me natural velvety-matte result without feeling too powdery nor muddy, just perfect. It gave a very nice coverage on its first layer. As I need more coverage on some acne scars, so I applied one more layer and it still felt so lightweight on skin.
I tried to add the layer again and one more again, so it was 4 layers in total. And it’s confirmed, this is the most lightweight cushion I’ve ever tried!
How did you make this cushion, Moonshot?
Even when there were 4 layers of this cushion on my face, I feel like I just applied only one layer. So, the only difference I could feel after adding more layers was the coverage became much better but the thickness of the foundie was not, it was same like the first time I applied it.
The other wow-thing from this product is it stayed prettily for a long time and even didn’t leave any crease on my fine lines. Well, maybe not 100% crease-free but if so, it was not that noticeable. The foundation itself was not transfer easily and the oil control was satisfying. It also hydrated my skin nicely. Oh, me likey!
Honestly, it could be my most favorite cushion, unfortunately a down side from its formula messed up my mood. I couldn’t wear this cushion when my skin got more sensitive during my monthly period since it caused some tiny bumps and zits. So, I had to say a temporary goodbye once a month T T (well, at least there is no breakout when my skin is in its normal condition).
Anyway, I still love it and believe that the reason why this cushion became popular is not only Lisa but, in fact, the quality of the cushion itself is amazing. The cushion works very well for my oily-combi skin but I suggest to use a moisturizer first if you have dry skin. This cushion is hydrating but not moisturizing enough on dry skin.
