If I should choose two things I love most in this world, I will go to makeup and cats. So, when found a makeup in a cat shape, of course, I bought it without thought bla bla bla. Thanks to Paul & Joe Beaute for making such a super cute beauty product, hhaha. But, by the way, do you know Paul & Joe? Most of us may know this is a fashion brand but actually this brand has beauty line (skincare and makeup) too, known as Paul & Joe Beaute.
Anyway, today I will give you my review of Paul & Joe Beaute Treatment Lipstick, which has a purr-fect and cute cat shape on its tip. This product was launched for 2017 Autumn Creation (on August 1st, last year), together with the Pearl Lipstick. And for your information, the lipstick itself (called “refill”) and the lipstick case are sold separately. Honestly, that’s a little bit stingy in my opinion, hhaha. But since the cat lipstick is too adorable to be rejected, I can forgive it. And the pretty blue-white case that I bought was newly released last autumn too. Fret not, let’s jump to the review and find out how this cutie cat works!
So I got two cute boxes. The first one was Paul & Joe Lipstick Case N and the other was the Treatment Lipstick refill. They made the boxes from thick cardboard with same flowery design, the difference is on the size (the lipstick case is bigger than the lipstick refill). Even from the outer boxes, they look very beautiful and adorable.
I will describe the case and its lipstick refill one by one.
PACKAGING
Paul & Joe Lipstick Case N #01
The outer box brings the instructions for setting the case and its lipstick refill. Hence we do not have to be confused about how to put the lipstick into its case. The case itself is made from thick and sturdy plastic and the design is awesome!
I like the combination between the white cap and light blue bottom. The design of this new case is inspired by European buildings and the color of cloudy Parisian skies. It is beautiful, unique yet elegant, isn’t it? The embossed flowers on the cap (I do not know the flower’s name, LOL) are very pretty.
By the way, Paul & Joe Beaute has a lot of lipstick case designs (even they had just launched their adorable spring case collection too). They are so attractive, unique and cute. But unfortunately, the other information I got, this new case fits only new Paul & Joe Lipstick Refill. So, make sure that you buy the right case and lipstick refill.
Paul & Joe Treatment Lipstick Refill/Recharge #401
The only information I get from the box of Treatment Lipstick refill is the ingredients. But the other information (directions for use) is written on a piece of paper inside the box in three languages; Japanese, English and French (sorry, I didn’t take the photo).
The cat lipstick itself is housed in a gold tube with “PAUL & JOE” printing. The tube where the lipstick placed is sturdy. And it has a transparent plastic cap to protect the lipstick from drying. I feel it is very funny when holding the lipstick refill, it feels so skinny, hhaha.
How To Use :
Insert the lipstick “refill” into the base of the case, pressing down on it until you hear a click. Put the cap on after you remove the cover.
The way to put the lipstick refill into the case is very easy (as the instructions above). After hear ‘click’ then it’s done! The lipstick refill can be locked perfectly on its case, so no need to worry about the safety.
Now move to the cutest part of this product, the lipstick bullet. The tip of this Treatment Lipstick comes in a cat shape! This is a cute cat’s head. And this is a truly detailed shape. The ears, eyes, nose, moustaches, and even the cat’s lip (can you see those on my photos? I took it as clear as I could). All parts are made so purr-fect and cute, oh my God!
Can you guess what’s inside my mind after seeing this cute lipstick? Yeah, I don’t want to use it, I will keep it forever! LOL. Seriously, this lipstick is very cute and adorable. Moreover, it comes in a soft peachy-pink color. Every girl should love this lipstick. And every cat lover should love this too.
TEXTURE & SCENT
Usually, when I order new makeup I can not help myself to try it as quick as I received it. But an exception for this one. This lipstick is too cute to be swatched and used, hhaha. Well, in the end I have to finish it because usually skincare product can be used until 12 months after opening.
So, I swatched the Treatment Lipstick and was a bit surprised with how invisible it was. The lipstick has peachy-pink bullet but actually it has no color and looks transparent on skin. And it does not look oily nor watery. It gives just slightly sheens on my skin.
Surprisingly, the sheens look more visible on my lips. But instead of giving too much glowy result, Paul & Joe Treatment Lipstick looks natural-moist on lips. Since I do not like too buttery lip balm, so I like it. The Treatment Lipstick is enough to make my lips look naturally healthier. Its transparent color blends seamlessly on lips. Moreover, the texture is not clumpy and lightweight, like you do not apply anything on lips.
The other good thing I notice is since it creates thin layer on lips, it does not disturb me when I want to apply other lip color after this Treatment Lipstick. You know, sometimes too buttery lip balm will create too sticky and slick surface, so it will be uncomfortable to apply lip color as the texture may be uneven. But this product does its job well to create smooth surface without feeling sticky.
Oh, by the way, Paul & Joe Beaute use orange flower water in most of their products. I read many reviews that say Paul & Joe’s products smell very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, the scent of this product is almost unnoticeable. But when I sniff closely, there is a slight of fresh scent in it.

RESULT
For my normal lips, the Treatment Lipstick is enough to keep my lips moist, hydrated and soft. It prevents my lips from drying when used before applying matte lipstick. I will not use it alone during the day since it has no color. I always apply lip color afterward. I only use it alone as my night lip care and I love the result.
Honestly, I did not expect too high from this product at first since I bought it just because its cat shape. But the result is very satisfying as a treatment lipstick. When swatched on my hand, I think its moist effect would be so so on lips. But I was wrong. It hydrates my lips very well for hours and gives me moist and soft feeling. And also, it is not sticky at all.
Paul & Joe Beaute prove me that their product is not only extra cute but also has awesome formula. This Treatment Lipstick is really worth it. Personally, though it is not my HG lip balm (I have other brand that I love more) but I do not mind to repurchase it again to be my cute collection. And since I already have the case, so buying the refill only will be more affordable, hehe. All at all, if you are bored with usual lip balm shape, then you should meet this cute kitty, seriously!
