Recently I have been using this product almost two months and I think I am good enough to write this review. If you remember my review of Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Nutritive Treatment, then this is another product from the same line, it is Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Shampoo. I bought this as a bundle when I repurchased the conditioner, this was a good deal from the seller.
Ryo has some variants of Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Shampoo to treat different scalp type; Normal-Dry Scalp, Oily Scalp and Sensitive Scalp. I was confused whether I should pick the oily or the sensitive one, but I ended up with the oily scalp shampoo hhaha. As I get very good result from the conditioner, I expected this product would give a good result as well. Maybe when both of these products work together, they will give better result, right? Well, let’s see!
Ingredients :
Salicylic Acid, Panthenol, Zinc Pyrithione, Licorice Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Thuja Orientalis Seed Extract, Saccharomyces/ Panax Ginseng Root/ Honey/ Poria Cocos/ Swertia Japonica/ Polygonum Multiflorum Root/ Rehmannia Chinensis Root/ Glycine Max (Soybean) Seed Extract Ferment Filtrate, Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-yuen Seed Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Pinus Densiflora Leaf Extract, Cnidium Officinale Root Extract, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Bark/Sap Extract, Artemisia Asiatica Extract
PACKAGING
While the conditioner has only one size (200 ml), the shampoo has two different size, 180 ml (for more travel friendly size) and 400 ml (the pump bottle). I got mine in 180 ml which comes in a midi bottle without pump. I do not mind with that and still enjoy the bottle. The hole where the shampoo comes out is nice, not too big nor too small. The cap is also can be locked perfectly so the product will not leak easily. Meanwhile the information about the product itself is written in Korean only, so I have no idea what actually it says.
TEXTURE & SCENT
To be honest, since I have been using the conditioner and love it very much, that is enough to keep me think that all of Ryo’s products are great. Hence I thought I would love this product since the first time I got it in my hand. I really expected an awesome result from this product.
But I was a little bit disappointed when took the product out and smelled it for the first time. The herbal scent is too strong for me, and personally I do not like herbal scent, hhaha. Seems like this shampoo is made with 100% herbs or anything from nature’s garden because all I smell is (annoying) herbs. Seriously, Ryo should add a bit of floral fragrance T T
When I tried the shampoo for the first time, even the herbal scent did not disappear after I rinsed off my hair and used the conditioner afterward T T. I would definitely stop using the shampoo if I did not remember how bad my hair-loss problem. Fortunately, after several times using the shampoo, the herbal scent gets more friendly on my nose (I guess my nose is habituated with the scent, LOL). However, the scent does not disturb me anymore, though I still can not say that I like it.
This Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Shampoo has transparent brownish color with watery gel-like texture. The shampoo is lightweight and a little bit runny. It does not feel sticky too. And if you look closely (you can zoom the pictures out), there is a lot of tiny beads in the fluid.
RESULT
I have thin and dry hair, sometimes my hair can be crazily frizzy too, but since I live in tropical country my scalp is very easy to be oily due to hot weather. Honestly, I worried when decided to try this product out. I was afraid that this shampoo made my hair drier. It may good for my oily scalp, but what about my dry hair? But hey, surprisingly, it works very well!
So, the shampoo can create soft and adequate bubbles (which I do like). Aside from its herbal scent (which I do not like), I really enjoy using this product. The product is easy to be rinsed off and does not leave sticky or heavy feeling on my scalp. Otherwise, I feel my scalp becomes very clean and fresh.
I always use the conditioner (Ryo Jayangyunmo Nutritive Treatment) after shampooing. So far (and thank God), the conditioner helps to keep my hair away from dryness. I love how these two products work together, very nice. My scalp feels very clean and not too oily, meanwhile my thin and dry hair is kept soft.
Unlike the conditioner, which works super great to reduce my hair loss, I think the shampoo does better job to grow new hair. Yes, I was not aware about this until a week ago when I dyed my hair into light brown color. I found out a lot of soft-baby hair began growing along my hair part. It is like re-grow my lost hair.
So I make a conclusion that this shampoo should be used with the other products in the same line such as the conditioner (I have never tried the hair essence yet). Personally, both of the shampoo and conditioner of Ryo Jayangyunmo series are my HG hair care products. The conditioner strengthens my hair and prevents hair loss while the shampoo helps to grow new hair. For a person with thin hair and serious hair loss problem, can you imagine how happy I am with the result? Yes, I am H.A.P.P.Y!
I am actually curious about the hair essence in this Jayangyunmo series (it should give better result if used together, right?) , but for now the shampoo and conditioner of Ryo Jayangyunmo are enough to make me feel satisfied. Using both of these products regularly makes my hair healthier, stronger and I feel it gets thicker (not really sure, though. Maybe just my feeling, LOL).
Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Shampoo is such a great and recommended product for anyone who suffers from hair fall issue (and of course, use the conditioner as well). I can’t tell that using this product gives me softer or more shiny hair, nope. But less hair loss, stronger and healthier hair that I get is so true. I think the ginseng extract in its ingredients is really effective. I will definitely repurchase this shampoo and maybe try the Sensitive Scalp type too.
