Yahallo!!!
I have written a review on one of the Forencos products, which is Tattoo Allproof Eyeliner (please click to read the review), and today I’m back with another review of their lip product, the Soak Tattoo Tint!
Since I’m kinda satisfied with their eyeliner, so I had a high expectation on this lip product. You know, their lip products are quite popular and even went viral on social medias, like Instagram and TikTok. I found many reviewers claimed that Forencos lip products are amazing, both for the staying power and shades. It made me so curious to try the product on my own hand.
I actually got two of their lip products, the Velvet Tint and this one, the Soak Tatto Tint. However, since I love the Soak Tattoo Tint’s packaging more than its sister, so I decided to review it first. Well, packaging simply has had a huge impact on me, and I'm sure, some people do too hehe...
So, without any further ado, let’s start the review!

PACKAGING
I'm the type of person who is easily attracted by packaging, one of my slacks I guess. So, yeah... I ended up with these babes on my hand because I felt in love with their cute bottle. At first, looking at the photos I took, you probably think that the packaging is so so, nothing is special. Maybe it’s pretty because of the frosty glass design and minimalist look. Yes, it is. But the unique point is actually its size.
The lip tint is housed in a tiny doff bottle, which looks adorable. The size of the bottle is practically only half the size of a regular lip cream bottle. It makes sense because the weight is only 1.6 gr, while usually lip products – especially lip cream – comes in sizes 3 or 4 gr. The mini cutie bottle makes it easy for you to carry the product on your bag, pouch and even your pocket. Just make sure you don't drop it so it doesn't get lost, hehe.
If you are used to using applicators from regular lip creams, you might feel a little awkward the first time you hold this lip tint. But luckily, I didn't have any trouble using the applicator from this lip tint, even though it's smaller than the lip products I usually use. In fact, I quite enjoyed it.
The tip of the applicator is a small brush with a soft bristles. The tip of the brush is slightly angled, so it makes it easier to reach the corners of the lips when used. Although the wand is short, I have no complaints while using it. It works fine.
COLORS AND SCENT
Okay, let’s start with the scent. I have two shades on my hand and both of them are smell the same. It’s a fresh fruity smell which I really love! I do appreciate the selection of scents that Forencos gave us because this candy fragrance fits perfectly with the cheerful and youthful concept of a lip tint. Me likey.
So, I opt for the shade 02 Zippy and 11 Sweety. Let me describe the colors below.
The shade 02 Zippy should be a pink color with a hint of peach in my expectation. But the actual shade is bright red, typically a classic lip tint color. I wish it was more watermelon pink than cherry red. However, the shade is still pretty and perfect for daily, though.
The shade 11 Sweety appears like the color in the commercial poster, and I do adore this shade! A perfect peach color for your sunny days. It is kind of a shade that will look cute but still natural on warm skin tone. If you are bored with red or pink shades, try this. You will definitely love it.
TEXTURE
I wasn't surprised when I found out that these two lip tint shades have slightly different textures. This is quite normal and we often find it in any lip product, some shades may have a different texture. The shade 02 Zippy has watery consistency, again, it’s typically a classic lip tint product. It absorbs pretty fast on my bare lips and, unfortunately, this makes the product itself rather difficult to blend on my lips.
Meanwhile, the shade 11 Sweety has more milky-watery texture. It can absorb well but not as fast as the shade 02 Zippy. And, unfortunately, it brings its own issue. When I apply a concealer or foundie as a base before applying this shade on lips, the lip tint is a bit hard to blend evenly. It's like dragging the foundation and making it clump in the lip lines. When I put the second layer of the lip tint, it's so much harder to struggle to sink in. Oh my...
However, this Soak Tattoo Tint has a great color payoff. The shades are vibrant even in the first swipe. In general, the texture is nice. One thing I like from watery lip tint, instead of lip cream, once it completely absorbs, it feels nothing on lips. It’s lightweight and not sticky at all.
RESULTS
I LOVE both the shades, unluckily, the formula is not that friendly for my lips. I prefer to use this lip tint only when my lips are on their best day. Otherwise, this lip tint is quite dry on my lips. Even so, the staying power of this lip tint still gets a thumbs up from me.
Forencos Soak Tattoo Tint is able to maintain its pretty color all day long. I doubt if this product can retain the same color from the first time it is applied until it is removed (as the brand claims), because I never experience that thing. But I admit that the stain of both shades are lovely and they do lasts long on my lips, especially the shade 02 Zippy which is basically darker than the other one.
I suggest to hydrate your lips very well before applying this lip tint because it tends to create unflattering stain on dry lips, especially the shade 02. So, yeah, this lip tint is actually not for dry-lips people. It’s better to choose Forencos Velvet Tint if you have dry lips (review soon).
After all, I hope the brand will upgradethe formula to be more hydrating and friendly for dry lips, because I do love the shades (both of mine and their 11 other shades). I would love to try the other shades if the formula is not that dry on my lips.
So, have you tried this product too? What do you think?
