False eyelashes, the key to get popping up and adorable eye look. I guess many people agree with that, right? But some of us may struggle so hard to put false eyelashes on. Well, I have had that experience too long time ago. Sometimes, the falsies look so weird and unnatural on my eyes. Sometimes, they didn’t stay on all day *sigh...
My first false lashes were from Etude House, but they were too stiff for beginner like me. Hence I felt awkward and failed many times to put them on. But after finding out this brand, I really love and enjoy wearing false eyelashes on my makeup routine. Can you guess the brand? (it’s already written on the title, LOL). It’s Dolly Wink, my favorite brand from Japan which is produced by Tsubasa Masuwaka. Since I love Dolly Wink’s products, so I had no doubt to try their falsies.
Dolly Wink Eyelashes have many styles of false lashes, from the most natural look to the attractive one. But the certain thing I know is Dolly Wink Eyelashes are super comfortable and have great quality. They are also the best choice for beginners. As always, Dolly Wink products come with cute and kawaii packaging, so does with this one. The packaging has soft purple color with daisy flowers on top. It looks so girly and romantic. I love Tsubasa’s photo on the package (how could a human being so pretty like her?) Meanwhile, just like the other products of Dolly Wink, it doesn’t bring English translation for the product description, so I have no idea with what it says on the package. However, I do adore the design of the packaging. All is perfectly cute. It is like something that every girl can’t refuse, right?
As I mentioned before that Dolly Wink Eyelashes have a lot of styles. They have both the upper and lower lashes collections, with clear and black base color. Mine is number 10 that is called Sweet Cat. This is a part of their upper lashes collections with black base. Now let’s start by talking about its design.
Sweet Cat is designed to give us a catty eye look. These false eyelashes are made fuller and longer in the edge. They can give us sharper and dramatic eyes instantly without looking too much. This is a thing I really like from Dolly Wink Eyelashes. Though the design supposed to make cat-eyes effect but they still look natural and subtle on our eyes.
The band or the base thread is not clear but black. If you think that the black band will not look natural, then you are wrong. Dolly Wink Eyelashes have very thin band that looks natural on eyelid, even it’s colored black. The band is also soft and flexible that is very easy to be molded into my eye shape. What’s more important is it’s so comfortable to wear. In addition, the black base actually gives a thin eyeliner effect on my eye, thus I really like it.
Dolly Wink Eyelashes No. 10 - Sweet Cat is knotted-lashes type where each hair is knotted onto the band. The hair itself is thin and soft, just like our natural lashes. And also the crossed hairs design looks subtle on my eyes. Though it has fuller and longer lashes on the edge, these false eyelashes are not heavy at all. I’m not sure about it but I’ve ever heard that Dolly Wink Eyelashes are handmade hence the lashes are neat and comfortable to wear. Well, I guess that’s true.
You can see on the pictures that Dolly Wink Eyelashes no. 10 – Sweet Cat give a beautiful cat-eye look (please, ignore the eyelid tape, LOL). It may look natural in the pictures, but in real it is quite obvious. I really love the edge of the lashes. It gives me sharper eyes but still looks pretty and sweet at the same time. The falsies are perfect to make bigger eyes instantly. Totally changed my appearance by putting them on. In case you love natural dolly look, these falsies are wearable for daily since they are lightweight and can blend naturally with our lashes.
Dolly Wink included the eyelash glue on the package. Even the glue has a cute packaging too. Unfortunately the eyelash glue comes in milky white color instead of the transparent one. But I still love it since the adhesiveness is durable. It sticks tightly all day with no re-touch needed. It is also very friendly to my sensitive eyes, it doesn’t feel itchy at all. Though the glue adhered tightly but it’s still very easy to peel off the falsies from my eyes. The adhesive residue on the lashes band can be cleaned easily too.
Dolly Wink Eyelashes are reusable. I used mine for about 10 times (maybe more) and they still look good on my eyes. It is enough to show us that this brand truly has a good quality. Here are some tips if you want your falsies more durable.
Do not apply mascara on your false lashes, it will keep each hair of the falsies clean. If you want to use mascara, apply it before putting false lashes. Dolly Wink has delicate lashes that blend seamlessly on natural lashes, so without curling and applying mascara, the false lashes will look pretty already. Don’t forget to clean the adhesive residue and place the lashes back onto the tray after use.
If you think that Dolly Wink Eyelashes is kinda pricey, believe me it is comparable to the quality. I suggest this product to anyone, both beginners and experienced beauty lovers. We can choose the design of the falsies as we want because they have a lot of beautiful collections. I already tried some of their upper lashes collections and now I really want to try their lower lashes. As far as I can remember, Dolly Wink Eyelashes is the best among other false lashes I’ve ever tried. I love this brand so much!
