Soooo... today I’m going to share my experience using a lip product from Korean makeup brand. I don’t wanna talk too much about the brand since I bet you have known it already. Yass, it’s Etude House! You know lah!

Actually Etude has released this product about two years ago, it’s long enough yaa. And I bought this almost a year ago but haven’t opened it yet because I had lotta makeup and forgot about this one, hihihii... Mine is EH Dear My Wish Lips Talk in shade #RD302. It’s the darkest shade of their DMWLT collections.

Well, not waiting any longer, let’s start!

PACKAGING

I don’t hesitate about Etude’s packaging since they always give us their really cute and girly design. The Dear My Lips-Talk series bring pink-princessy concept, including this one. I really love the outer box design. Comes in pink paper box with silver classic-princess pattern on the front box, so beautiful.

You can read the description and direction of use on the side box. It’s written in Hangul and English. Btw, this lip product can be used until 18 months after opened. Read the ingredients on the other side. It’s paraben free, princess!

The lipstick itself comes in pink plastic with no other color. Just pink and you! The one that made the point is the pink bow on the center. It’s very pretty. The rest is nothing special, like many others lipstick package. You have to twist the tube to get the product out.

The tip of this product is round in shape with angle (sorry I forgot to take the picture). I wish I get the sharp shaped tip than this one. It’s better to have a sharp tip so you can apply the lipstick product neatly. But this one is not a big matter lah, can use lip brush to help you to get neat and clear application.

SCENT AND TEXTURE

It’s hard for me to describe the scent. Like chemical cosmetics scent but it’s soft. Well, I’m not good in describing smell, excuse me, ahahaa. So far, it’s not fruit or sweet scent. But it’s not that annoying too. Just ignore it because the smell will disappear after seconds you applied it.

It glides very smoothly on my lips as its creamy texture. It’s true that the texture melts onto your lips, like butter. Considering of the creamy texture, I believe that this lipstick doesn’t dry up your lips. Well, using lip balm is still needed before apply the lipstick, of course.

I don’t have any dry-lips-problem these days, thank God, so I’m not sure about how this lipstick works on dry lips. As far as you keep your lips moist formerly, you won’t get flaky result with this lippies.

COLORS

So, the description is “Runaway Burgundy” which is deep burgundy colored.

I’m not into a dark lip colors lover actually. I think this is my first burgundy lip product and also the darkest shade of my lippies collections, well mostly I just bought pink and PINK lip products, hehee...

I was attracted with its deep burgundy color on their commercial poster. But I was kinda bit “bleehhh” since the swatch looks different in real. It looks more bloody red then deep burgundy though the bullet looks extremely deep burgundy.

Well, it’s a pretty bloody red with glossy finish. But I wish I got the deep burgundy shade like the name T^T Since the color isn’t that dark burgundy, I think it’s wearable for daily if you like dark red color. But not me, I won’t use it daily, it’s not my comfortable color. So, just wore it for limited event.

It gives you pigmented and vivid color too. But since the color is not that dark nor deep burgundy, I apply it 2 or 3 layers to get darker shade. And hey, it’s not thicky on lips though it’s applied more than a layer! Good job, Etude! ^^

STAYING POWER

Depends on its superb creamy texture and glowy finish, I’m not expecting high for its staying power. Most of glossy lipstick has the same problem, including this one which is not-long-lasting-enough. Besides, it’s not transferproof too. Eating means saying goodbye to this lipstick on your lips. And yeah, it will leave a dirty trace on your glass T_T

Btw, be careful with your teeth while using this lipstick, guys. Or you will end up with showing your red teeth like silly! Hahaa.

Even it’s not long lasting, when I use it more than a layer, it will leave a sheer stain after the product’s all gone.

FINAL VERDICT

I still like the color though it’s not deep burgundy like the commercial picture claims. I think this bloody red color is kinda pretty, I mean not bad la.

Well, though the texture is really creamy and glides smoothly onto lips, I don’t feel that this product helps to moisten my lips. Just the glossy effect so it won’t affirm lips flakes. The good point I liked is it doesn’t feel too thick or heavy using this lipstick although more than one layer. It makes me easy to touch up. So, this good point can cover the lack of its weak staying power. Oh, okay.

I usually use my lip brush to get a neat application especially on my lip liner and corner since the round bullet helps nothing on my lips. I prefer the Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk than this Dear My Wish Lips-Talk.

My conclusion, Dear My Wish Lips-Talk is best used for daily since it has very light and smooth texture but gives pretty vivid color. Besides, Etude provides many beautiful color range for this collection. Don’t worry because it doesn’t dry up our lips, but don’t have high expectation too about the staying power, it’s so so.
